Running Sage ERP, Payroll & HR, Business Process Management or CRM on your own infrastructure means someone on your team is responsible for the servers underneath it: patching, backups, uptime, and the database performance tuning that keeps the application responsive as your data grows. Hosting the suite with us moves that responsibility off your books entirely, so your finance and HR teams interact with Sage the way they always have, while the infrastructure decisions happen on our side.

Is cloud cheaper than running our own servers?
Usually — but honestly, it depends. Cloud turns a capital purchase into a predictable monthly cost and removes the expenses on-premise budgets forget: UPS and generator power, cooling, the three-to-five-year hardware refresh, and the IT hours that keep it all alive. For most teams the five-year comparison favours cloud; for large, stable workloads owning can still win. We run that comparison on your numbers before recommending either.
Is it legal to keep our data outside Botswana?
The Data Protection Act, 2024 restricts transferring personal data outside Botswana unless the destination country is on the approved list or another lawful mechanism applies — and it requires a copy of transferred personal data to be retained in Botswana during processing. That is exactly why Replic8's local hosting exists: regulated data stays in-country while productivity workloads run on Microsoft's cloud, and we map which data belongs where.
What is CSP licensing and why buy Microsoft through a partner?
CSP is Microsoft's Cloud Solution Provider programme: you buy Microsoft 365 and Azure through a local partner instead of directly. The prices are set by Microsoft either way — what you gain is monthly flexibility as headcount changes, local invoicing, and one accountable support desk that already manages your environment.
What happens to the cloud when our internet goes down?

How long does a cloud migration take, and how much downtime?
A small business typically moves in two to four weeks, a mid-size organisation in two to four months — driven by the number of applications, data volume and any legacy systems. Actual downtime is small: cutovers are scheduled after hours and run phased or in parallel, so most users notice the new environment before they ever noticed a gap.
